HACH SCIENTIFIC FOUNDATION

Chemistry Teaching Scholarships

The Hach Scientific Foundation, a private philanthropic organization in Loveland, Colorado, supports scholarships to chemistry students with preference to those planning a career in teaching chemistry.  The purpose is to honor and preserve the principles and philosophies of the Hach Company, a global public firm focused on equipment for water analysis, treatment, and testing.  These scholarships are intended to aid students throughout their college careers. Western Washington University has been fortunate to be one of the handful of schools that can offer these scholarships to our students. Below is information about these scholarships and links to the application.

Criteria:  Undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, or graduate students with a minimum GPA of at 3.0. These scholarships are primarily directed at students who are enrolled in a program leading to a career in secondary chemistry teaching. The secondary focus is for students majoring in chemistry.

Awards:  We anticipate a minimum of one scholarship will be available for the 2008-09 academic year.

As long as good academic standing is maintained and you are progressing toward the career in secondary chemistry teaching, you likely will receive this scholarship on an annual basis until completion of your degree. Note: If you are a current scholarship awardee, you need to submit a new application for the coming year.
